Obituary

Bob Dickey, 54, died Tuesday evening April 18, 2017 from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident. Bob was born April 8, 1963 in Minneapolis, MN, attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, and then moved to Steamboat Springs, CO. He enjoyed over thirty seasons of skiing with friends and family. As a competitive mogul skier, he was fortunate enough to travel throughout the United States. Bob and Jeannie also enjoyed the off seasons snorkeling and sailing on their many trips to Mexico.

He is survived by his wife Jeannie, his mother Joyce Dickey and his in-laws Don and MaryLu Herzog. Also, survived by his sisters Karen; Susan and husband Dony; Kathy and husband John; brother-in-law Tommy and wife Kate; sister-in-law Kathleen and husband Pete, and many numerous extended family members.

Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, April 24 at Yampa Valley Funeral Home. Father Ernest Bayer will officiate. Burial will be in the oak Creek Cemetery following the service. Contributions in memory of Bob may be made to the Oak Creek Fire Department in care of Chuck Wisecup, PO Box 152, Oak Creek, CO 80467.
