Obituary

Christi Carol Trueblood-Janco passed away on February 16th, 2026, at her home in Oak Creek, Colorado.

Christi was born on December 23rd, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, to Dr. Roger K. Trueblood, Jr. and Sally Lou Card Trueblood. She was raised in Glendale, Arizona and attended Landmark Elementary School and Apollo High School. She attended Northern Arizona University and went on to become a flight attendant with Frontier Airlines based in Denver and later moved to Steamboat Springs. During her years with Frontier and afterward, she travelled extensively throughout Europe, Asia and the Caribbean. After a few intervening years in Arizona with her family, she returned permanently to her beloved Steamboat Springs where she met her future partner Brian and worked at the Steamboat ticket office, the Steamboat Grande and most recently at Safeway.

Christi had many interests. Especially enjoying the outdoors. While she was recently limited by serious back pain, for many years she enjoyed hiking, skiing, snow shoeing and camping. She was also an avid reader of European history and an enthusiastic opera-goer.

Christi was also a very giving person. Many of her family and friends have a story to tell of when she would step up to do something kind. She would even drop everything to give a helping hand to a stranger in a moment of need. Even some customers would come to know her on a first name basis. Christi will be sadly missed by many.

Christi was preceded in death by her mother, Sally Lou Card Trueblood Lentz, in 2017; and her father, Dr Roger Ketchum Trueblood Jr, in 2024.

Christi is survived by Brian Goodman, her loving partner and companion for the last 10 years, and his family; her siblings, Denise Trueblood Hinds Heaton, Sharanne Trueblood Lee, Katherine Trueblood Carter Clucas and John David Trueblood and their families. Christi is also survived by Diane Merchant Trueblood and her family. Christi will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends in Colorado and Arizona.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
