David Adam Karol was born on October 30, 1988 in Plainview (town of Oyster Bay), NY to Eugene Karol and Robin (Alpert) Karol.  David grew up in Massapequa, NY and attended Hauppauge High School and later college at Saint Josephs University  where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.

After college David moved to Ft. Pierce, Florida, while living with his father.  David later returned to Smithtown, NY, where he lived with his mother. He later moved to Baily, CO, and lived with his brother, Kenny while working for the United States Postal Service, delivering mail.  It was when he was assisting Pine, CO, Post Office that he met Annalise Tecken, where she worked.  They married on April 29th, 2022 at Living Savior Lutheran Church at Littleton, CO.  The couple made their home in Steamboat Springs, CO.  David left the employ of USPS for the Asphlundh Tree Service before finding employment at the United Parcel Service as a delivery driver, where he worked until his death on October 8, 2024.

David had big dreams, ambitions, and was passionate about life. He was loyal, dedicated, headstrong, and looked out for those he cared about. He was kind, considerate, and loved deeply.  He especially loved being with his nieces and nephews and siblings. Spending Sundays at his sister's house watching football with family, was one of his many fond memories. David was always up for a challenge and took on many projects, such as his vehicles and different things around the home.  David enjoyed exercise, ran 7 miles every day, and lifted weights.  He liked fishing, boating, scuba diving, learning Russian, listening to music, and looking for gold/cool rocks. Firearms were a passion of his.  He loved all animals, especially their cat Beefcake, and always gave treats to the dogs and foxes on his delivery routes. David always tried to do the right thing in life and was an advocate for justice.

David is survived by his wife Annalise; father Eugene Karol; mother Robin (fiancé Allen) Karol;  sister Tracey (John) Espey and children Emma, Matthew, and Sean; and brother Kenny (Eileen) Karol and children Tathiana, Colleen, and Nick; sister Elissa (Ed) Miller and children Alexa, Eddie, and Brodie.  David was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

A visitation at Yampa Valley Funeral Home will be held 5:00 p.m., Monday, October 14, 2024 with a memorial following at 6:00 p.m. Please join family and friends with a reception after services.
