Obituary

Dorothy Elizabeth "Beth" Martin (Yoast, Doolin) passed away on Sunday, 9/3/23, at the Doak Walker Care Center with Family by her side. She was 83 years old.

Beth was born on 8/5/1940 to Milton and Dorothy (Smith) Yoast in Hayden Colorado at the Solandt Medical Hospital. Beth was their only child and much adored. She grew up on the ranch outside of Hayden, along the river off Breeze Basin Road. Beth loved the outdoors and animals of all kinds, especially her cats and dogs.

Beth married Norman Doolin and they had two sons, Norman Lee Jr "Lee" and Ronald Milton. Beth and Norm divorced and after years in the valley and a second divorce, Beth moved to Grand Junction, CO. She loved the Grand Junction area, community, and established several new friendships. In the spring of 2020, due to health issues, she returned to Hayden and lived with Lee and Debbie on the ranch where she grew up. One of the family's fondest memories: was of her pulling her great grandson, Luke, in a wagon down the lane of the ranch, on her 80th Birthday. She enjoyed long walks along the river with her dog, Coco, and piling up sticks from the downed trees. After her transition from the ranch to the Haven in Hayden, her greatest Joy was to have Great Grandson Luke, swing by for a visit. Luke's visits always produced a large smile from Beth as he entertained, and she loved his hugs.

Beth drove a school bus when the boys were young. She worked as a chiropractic assistant for Dr. Rummel in Craig and later became a CNA. She worked at the Doak Walker in Steamboat for years and later as a CNA for Hospice of Grand Junction. Beth loved her yard and had many rose bushes and flowers to care for in her later years. Beth was a Christian and it brings her family great peace knowing that she is now resting with her Lord and Savior.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Dorothy Yoast. Beth is survived by her sons, Lee (Debbie) Doolin and Ron (Kim) Doolin. Her grandchildren-Mariah Woodley (Kyle), Mitchel (Jarah),Mark Doolin (Grace) Kirsti Doolin, and Jake Buccalletto. Her four great Grandsons-Luke, Tripp, Anson, and Landen.

The interment will be private and at a date to be set later.
