Eleanore Ann Larson was 83 years old when she passed away in her home on Saturday, March 31, 2018. She has been a resident of Steamboat Springs since 1972. Eleanore was born on October 22, 1934 in Elmwood Park, Illinois. Her parents were William Lehmbeck and Martha Moldenhauer. Her siblings are Lisa, Ruthie, Martha, Anita, and Billy. Eleanore married Roy Larson on July 18, 1955, and their six children are Sherrie Keller, Kathy Sierra, Doreen Mayn, Sandy Holmes, Nadine Sisto and Sven Larson. Eleanore has 23 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Some of the names her grandchildren called her were: Deema, Dwama, Gumba, Grama Smudge and Mammy. Eleanore enjoyed many careers and accomplishments such as owning and operating a ski lodge, owning and operating a quilt shop and working at Grandkids daycare. She loved hiking, quilting, photography, decorating, cooking, antique collecting, and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed her many grandkids and she was also known for loving cats. She was generous in hospitality and served others with joy. She has been a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church since 1972. Eleanore loved this church and its family.
