Gary John
Reynolds
Sep 23, 1949 — Jul 24, 2025
Gary John Reynolds, born on September 23, 1949, in Long Beach, California, passed away leaving behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and cherished memories.
A graduate of Jordan High School, Gary spent many years as a dedicated and valued employee at Hayhoe Construction. There, he was proud to work alongside some of the best — John and Kyle Hayhoe and Chris Inman — building not just projects, but lifelong friendships.
Gary had a deep love for the outdoors, especially elk hunting, and a lifelong appreciation for old cars. These passions brought him joy, adventure, and connection with others who shared his interests.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teri Reynolds; his son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Cailin Reynolds; his daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Ed White; and his beloved grandson, Dayten Jennings.
Gary often said he had a great life — a sentiment that speaks volumes about his gratitude and the simple, genuine way he lived.
He will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the kindness he extended to all who knew him. Gary's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those lucky enough to have known him.
A Celebration of his life will be held 11AM, Aug. 11, 2025 at Yampa Valley Funeral Home with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. donate.cancer.org
