James Curtis Noppe (Jim), 61, passed away on September 20, 2025, in Rio Blanco County, Colorado due to a UTV accident.

Born on May 3, 1964, in Sacramento, California, Jim lived a life marked by dedication, adventure, and faith. Over the years, he embraced many roles with determination and resilience. For the past eight years, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Steamboat Springs. His diverse career also included work as an auto body technician, construction worker, tow truck driver, volunteer fireman with the Oak Creek Fire Department, and employee of the Colorado Department of Transportation. He also operated his own business, reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit and versatility.

Jim had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and motorsports. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycles and attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Whether snowmobiling through winter trails or exploring rugged terrain in his UTV, he welcomed every opportunity for adventure. He also found satisfaction in working on vehicles and motorcycles with friends and spending time camping .

His unwavering faith was a guiding force throughout his life. Jim passed with steadfast belief in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He is lovingly remembered by his sons Robert and Joe; brothers Tom, Tim, and Brian; niece Cassey; nephews Chase, Tristan, and Tyler; numerous aunts and uncles; and his ex-wife Auna. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Darlene.

Jims' presence brought strength and warmth to those around him. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed—never forgotten.
