Jill (Hammar) Miller was born on May 24, 1961, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  She passed away on May 2, 2024, after a short battle with cancer.  In 1992, she and her husband Dave moved from Denver to Steamboat Spring, CO to raise their son and enjoy the beauty of western Colorado.  Jill was happiest spending time in her small community where she enjoyed mountain biking, going out with her beloved Labradors and tending to her flowers. She had a unique competitive spirit from playing school sports in her early years to later participation in triathlons, bike races and any games with family or friends. Jill had a wild laugh and love of life with all its opportunities.  Even at the end she found a way to smile and laugh.  Jill is survived by her loving husband Dave Miller, son Carter Miller, Father John (Jack Hammar), stepmother Deborah Hammar, brother Mark Hammar (Sue), and brother Scott Hammar.  She is also survived by her niece Krista Klemmer (Karl), nephew John Hammar (Emily), three great-nieces and three great-nephews.  We will miss her dearly.  We love you, Jill.  The family will have a simple and private remembrance.  Donations in Jill's honor may be made to the Jan Bishop Cancer Center. https://www.yvmcf.org/donate/ or  Routt County Riders.
