On Easter Sunday, we bid farewell to a beloved husband, father, and friend, John Townes, known affectionately as Ozzie. Born on September 23, 1946 in Richmond Virginia, John lived a life filled with travel, tai chi, laughter, and many outdoor adventures until his passing in his favorite place, Steamboat Springs. John leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his family. He is survived by his loving wife Diane Townes & children. His presence will be deeply missed by his wife Diane, his son, Parke Townes, his daughter, Janie Townes and stepson Richard Darsow who all cherished every moment spent with him. John's warm smile and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a pillar of strength, a source of wisdom, and a beacon of love for his family and friends. His legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. As we celebrate John's life and mourn his passing, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and the love he shared with those around him.
