Ken Zaharias, 68, passed away in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, on January 6, 2025, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Ken was born on November 24, 1956, in Alamo, California.

He was a 1974 graduate of Monte Vista High School in Danville, California. He married Pam Miskie on March 23, 1985. Ken spent much of his career as a diesel mechanic at both Lucky and Safeway stores. They raised two sons, Stevan and Alex, in Brentwood, California. Ken's greatest joy was supporting his children in their various activities, which included baseball and fishing.

Ken enjoyed going to car shows and was an avid skier. After he retired, Ken and Pam divorced, and Ken made his new home in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He loved his new home and made so many friends who shared his love for skiing and the outdoors. Ken was living his best life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Joyce Zaharias, and his brother Gary. Survivors include his two sons; Stevan and Alex Zaharias; his brother, Dean Zaharias (Wendy) as well as many nieces and nephews.
