Obituary

This is a friend's service, Terri will go to the Front Range soon for a family service. Kirk Anthony (Little Head) Wishon only got to enjoy 52 very short years in this world & joined the spirit world October 12th of this year. He was known as Kirky or as Piccolor Pete by some. He was born in Denver but his dream was to live in our Rocky Mountains. He refused to go back to Golden once when he was a child. His dream was also to live in Oak Creek, Kirk & Terri moved here in 2003. They camped on Gore that 4th of July weekend and looked for jobs, Kirk was hired on the spot at TruValue, he told them "I don't live here yet, but I will be back in 3 days". They went back to Wheatridge, packed everything that would fit in the u-haul & jeep and came to Oak Creek to stay in his family's cabin. In the midst of packing Mary Jo called Terri and offered her a job. They were set! They did buy their home in September 2003. He was so happy there, with lakes nearby and a creek in the front yard. Soon they got a black lab and named her Lucy. They also have had Avee, Moony, Lucky & Brownie.Kirk loved his marriage of 18 years to his wife Terri, recently celebrating 20 years together, his 5 dogs over the last 11 years, his family, co-workers and friends, the Chiefs, the Rockies, the Avalanche, Golf, fishing, Hunting, online games, face-booking & watching sappy chick-flicks with Terri, especially My Best Friend's Wedding, the "lobster claws" scene was his favorite. Kirk was a intelligent, caring, gentle soul with the softest heart, he could cry at the drop of a hat! Kirk always would do anything for anyone at any time. Everyone at TruValue, Ace, & City Market loved him. His customers loved him. They followed him to City Market! He leaves behind every soul he touched, his wife and love of his life, his puppies, his home, his friends, this entire town! Kirk leaves behind his Mother (Ruth), his Aunt (Dottie), his Brother (Charlie) & his family, his sister (Anna) & her family, Terri's entire family, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. Kirk also leaves his 3 sons (Cody, Shane & James), 1 daughter (Casey) & 8 grandchildren with one on the way Kirk was preceded in death by his Dad (Don), who adopted him when he was 14 years old. Kirk was ever so proud to stand up in that courtroom and tell the Judge he wanted Don to be his Dad. His dad taught him to be a supervisor; he was a boss everywhere he worked. Kirk also was preceded by a baby sister (Carrie Alta), his GG (Alice), his uncle Cleve aunt Mary, his aunt Dottie & Uncle Louie and others. Take care and be strong! Terri, her puppies (Moony & Brownie) & her family and friends are doing the best they can. In lieu of flowers please donate to Steamboat Vet., the Humane Society, the Pet Animal Shelter or Pet Care.
