Obituary

My beautiful and beyond talented Gram passed away earlier this month. In April she would have been 99. She was the most loving and wonderful grandmother. As a child I called her MacGyver, because she could solve any problem! She could fix anything, she had this quite brilliance about her.

She was a highly skilled gardener, president of the Colorado Federation of gardens and studied 5 years to be a floral arrangement judge. All of this you would have to learn from someone else because you would never catch her boasting a single word. As I became a homeowner, Gram was an incredible resource for me. She helped me plan my landscaping and gave me valuable tips on care.

Gram also loved birds, in particular owls. I think of her every time I go for a walk and see any species of bird. Which transpired into me sending her a photo of a new bird daily. I already miss sending her those.

My amazing Gram was still hiking 14ers in her 70's. Snowshoeing into her 90's. When she was younger I remember that she and my grandfather would walk daily, miles - prime number miles to be exact.

Thank you Gram for never telling my parents that I bit the back of your dining chair and left teeth marks after my parents told me no. Thank you for never commenting on my driving. Thank you for always encouraging me. Thank you for all the stories. Thank you for all the love.

May you enjoy your eternal reward. I love you.
