Michael Bruce Hodder, 63, of Steamboat Springs, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family. Mike was born in Denver and moved to Steamboat in 1979 where he met his wife of 34 years, Denyce. In 1980 he pursued his dream job as a ski patroller which was his passion for the rest of his life. His enthusiasm for skiing never waned.
He is preceded by his parents Don Hodder and Sheila Deyo. He is survived by his wife Denyce, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, several step siblings, and a plethora of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Howelsen Hill in Steamboat on May 21 from 3-6. This will be a potluck appetizer social.
