Nancy J. Clapsaddle was born in Mason City, Iowa, on December 26, 1942. She died at her home in Steamboat Springs on June 21, 2018. Tom and Nancy were married September 4, 1965 which set them off on their lifelong adventure together. While the two attended many historic concerts and events, enjoyed traveling, and hiking, Nancy's dreams were realized with her beautiful home and family at the base of Rabbit Ears Pass. Nancy was passionate about books, art, and the natural world. Her eye for beauty and sense of humor were most notably seen in her selection of gifts and cards at Lyon Drug, where she was the heart and soul of that business for 35 years.
Nancy had a unique and wonderful way with children. When Nancy was with children, especially her grandchildren, her natural joy and vitality emerged. Being with children allowed Nancy to laugh and express her playful nature. For those of you who knew Nancy, you surely remember how much she loved to laugh. Please join us at the Hahn's Peak Road House for Sunday brunch September 2 from 10-12 to share memories and laughter in her honor. Thank you.
