Walter "Wally" John Cerice, Jr., 74, of Steamboat Springs, passed away on June 10, 2026. Born on January 24, 1952, in Colorado, Wally was a beloved husband, father, and friend who dedicated his life to serving others.

Wally enjoyed a distinguished career as a manager at Holiday Inn, where he dedicated over 30 years before retiring to embrace the beauty of Alaska. His passion for the outdoors was clear in his love for fly fishing, hiking, and exploring the natural wonders around him. Wally's adventurous spirit and appreciation for nature brought joy and inspiration to those fortunate enough to know him.

Wally is survived by his devoted wife Lory; his father, Walter (Beulah); his brother Mike (Sheri); and his sons, Parker and Andrew. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen, and his brothers, Martin and Dave.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, allowing friends and family to honor Wally's memory and the impact he had on their lives. Though he has left this world, Wally will live on in our hearts and minds forever.

Rest in peace, Wally. You will be greatly missed.
